If Week 1 was all about warming up, Week 2 said, “Turn the speakers up and RUN IT.”

This week centered around one thing: nighttime creation.
There’s something magical about Atlanta at night — the glow of the buildings, the traffic hum, the neon reflections on the sidewalk. That energy seeped right into the studio and changed everything.

Kaelyn hit a new smooth flow pocket this week — soft vocals, stacked harmonies, that glow-tone she’s known for.
Kara sharpened her rap edge — faster punchlines, wittier bars, and that signature “I’m not trying, I just sound good” confidence.

But the highlight?
The performance rehearsals.

2026 is going to require stage-ready performance energy, so The Mixies have been running full sets — dance practice, breath control, “who walks where,” and even figuring out where the lights might hit during future shows.

The Mixies’ “Late-Night Laugh Attack” behind-the-scenes clip, where the girls tried to record harmonies after being up too long and ended up crying laughing for 20 minutes.
